Sizzling Temperatures

After an usually cold winter with some snow and lots of heavy rain, the temperatures started going up in June and were quite high hitting 40 degrees or more in some places. If you are here in your villa or on holiday make sure you keep in the shade mid-day to late afternoon. The Spanish and longer term residents tend to go to the beach around 4pm or later. Wear hats, keep well hydrated, use a good quality high factor sun screen.. Nothing worse than a bad dose of sun burn which can be very serious in some cases. Make sure children have hats, lots of sunscreen and are not exposed to the sun for very long periods. In the sea you still get burnt with reflection off the water. Be safe and enjoy the wonderful Costa Blanca.
